This was taken at about the same time and location as another photo I shared last week, but I only saw it recently when I received film scans. I like this composition a lot more. The shadows balance the mural wall, there are fewer rooftops in the frame and they are below the railing, the colors better ref... samgrover.com

@manton I have an Explorer 1000 Pro that's basically for camping and emergency use. Much better than carrying individual small battery packs for those needs. A couple years ago, I also DIY'd two panels with a charge controller, battery, and a couple of circuits on my shed, as an exercise and emergency backup. They have worked quite well. I usually charge the Jackery with that.

@manton Google crawling (at least when it started) was a decent deal and not exploitative, IMHO. They helped others find your site and helped you in finding theirs. I guess what I'm saying is that if your intention is to profit, give something in return, or ask permission. And in either scenario, be ok with people saying no. And yes, I'm lenient towards a non-profit and hold them to a different standard.

@manton Intention matters. One is a library of the open web, while the other is exploitative. A crude analogy would be conservation vs mining.

I've found it useful, e.g. for workout tracking, and figuring out sleep patterns, but I dislike all the interactivity and Apple seems to be going more in that direction. My ideal Apple watch is just a fitness band with a micro/no screen. BTW, my G-Shocks are GWG-1000-1A3 and DW-B5600G-2. The first one is massive lol
