@jeremycherfas That's a requirement, yes.

@manton I take your point completely! If it's ok, I might drop you an email with a few thoughts. Obviously I'm well aware of (and appreciative of) what you've built!

@benwerd
@ianbetteridge I would love to read that when you do!

@mcg I agree. I actually deleted the original post on my site. He seems really unreliable and problematic.

@benwerd
@ryanbooker it’s just a pitch to gather feedback right now!
Ben Werdmuller
@benwerd
@mcg Exactly correct. Social media is so ingrained in so many peoples’ business models that they can’t not.
Ben Werdmuller
@benwerd
@leonp Heh, not aimed at you! I got a loooooot of feedback on that aspect of that post ;)

@JohnPhilpin @manton as a former media investor and current newsroom CTO, I can't say I disagree with that sentiment ...
Ben Werdmuller
@benwerd
@JohnPhilpin I feel like I have a professional need to check it out, so while I agree with you, I fed my personal information to the machine. Fingers crossed.

@KimberlyHirsh I’ve got good news. It turns out all of us is…

@odd True! This gets into Medium's journey a little bit - and why they focus so heavily on read time and the applause button over just pageviews. I have a lightly-held hypothesis that in the context of fiction this problem isn't as profound, but I could very well be wrong.

@benwerd
@timapple Oh wow! I've always thought the subway was pretty cool. Dirty, for sure, but it gets you where you need to go in a way that no other American city I've visited seems to have managed (with the possible exception of Boston).
