Whooooo boy is that some unintended behaviour 😂 I love physics bugs like this. Especially in a game that takes itself so seriously!
🎮 A massive problem in the game industry is morale.
Developers aren’t having a good time making games because we’re focused on trying to survive. This is not sustainable.
The industry needs happy and fulfilled developers to make great games for players to enjoy.

🎮 Being an old gamer is buying two games that really interest you. Alan Wake 2 as it’s on sale on PSN, and Nobody Wants To Die which is a retro future detective noir puzzle game (so right up my alley), then being too tired in the evening to actually play them and just going to bed instead! 😴😂

Today I just found Peglin. Such a great and addictive game! I praised Slay the Spire as one of the best deck builders and roguelike. Peglin is as if Slay the Spire and pinball had a child and it’s oh, so, good! Build a set of pinballs with unique abilities and fight by throwing them to a board. 🎮
The “problem” with having the Civilization OST on during work is that when I’m actually playing Civ I’m locked way tf in 🎮
Finished all of Final Fantasy XIV Realm Reborn! 🎮
🎮 I got Metroid: Samus Returns. I’m really enjoying it. I know there will be parts that are super difficult, but I am happy to use walkthroughs or whatever. I’m also finding that I don’t mind having to repeatedly try a fight in this game as much as I sometimes do, so that’s nice.

🎮 I got a Rog Ally (Z1E) a couple of months ago. And I’m loving it. Between a house move and cottage trips, it’s seen a surprising amount of use. You need to know what you are getting into, though. UX, battery, performance have drawbacks - it’s not a PC Switch. Right expectations = great experience!
🎮 Finished Metroid: Zero Mission.
This is a remake of the original NES Metroid with a lengthy epilogue. I mostly enjoy Metroidvanias for the exploration.
I think my thumbs need a rest after this. It might be time to play an RPG or puzzle game. But eventually, I’ll move on to Super Metroid.
🎮 After putting it off for ages because I still have such a backlog of unplayed games, I finally caved (thanks to my brother’s rave review) and started Baldur’s Gate 3. I’m only six hours into it, but I can’t overstate how much I’ve missed playing this kind of RPG. I’m enjoying it so much.

🕹️ Today, was more art exploration for the game jam.
I also set up the two main resources.
The player will be managing Health and Glitches.
- Health is simple. If it reaches zero: game over.
- Glitches are meant to be collected. Collect enough glitches to escape the video game you’re trapped inside.
Balatro is now my latest obsession. 🎮

Music, Graphics, Characters, the Japanese Voice actor’s… I loved them all and Yuffie was as crazy as ever😂😌

While looking for my next job opportunity, I want to work on a new game project for my itch page.
Goal: Make a chill first-person platformer
So far, I’ve implemented:
- Trenchbroom geometry pipeline into Godot
- Quake style FPS movement
- Sprinting
- Misc. shader fun
I’ve beaten higher in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (around 10% complete). I forgot to mention that the ROM I’m playing is the Japanese version, which means I have to look up what items do by their icon. On the plus side, it does help me ignore the story. 🕹️
