Aspiring novelists can now post manuscripts on the Black List, where they can potentially get discovered by the literary agents, editors and publishers who subscribe to the site.
I wonder if the Black List still has the same impact it once did in Hollywood since mid-budget movies just don’t exist anymore. I do think this sort of thing could work for fiction in discovering new voices though.

I love what Becca gets to when talking about what made The Verge special. As one of my college professors gruffly said:

But there are two topics of ownership discussed here: that of the videos Becca makes for their personal channel and those they make for The Verge. I can understand the hesitance of videos on a personal channel, but even bringing up the idea of ownership of videos made for The Verge is weird to me.

Seeing Ulysses Owens cover Nirvana on Drumeo was fun although I had wanted to see him infuse more of his style into it. So it was awesome to see him with his band do exactly that.

What a predictable trainwreck of a situation. Need some advice? Don’t use AI. This was such an obviously avoidable situation—it just doesn’t make sense to me how lazy some people are sometimes.
If I tried super hard, I could see how some supporters might build distance between Trump and Jan 6th in their mind, but I don’t know how a reasonable person can see this and be okay with it.
