Just watched the replay of the USMNT match versus France. We lost 3:0, but, we had our chances. There’s something to be hopeful for going forward. ⚽️
I feel like the United States could get behind rugby sevens with more exposure to it. There’s enough grittiness of American football there with the constant chance of a breakaway score. 🏉

Trying to get focused on tracking my habits again. My main ones are as follows:
- Take a walk - for physical & mental health
- Clean the cat box - Because I wouldn’t want to poop in a mine field either
- Meditate- to shut my brain off

🤧 Outside of actually having Covid, one of the worst things about it is how it’s always in the back of my mind anytime I feel sick. That said, ragweed is bad right now and I always get sick during the summer. I basically can’t breathe through my nose.

@pratik I agree their UI is great, especially with photos. I had a bunch of local friends on Twitter and for whatever reason, only a handful have moved to Threads despite so many of them having Instagram accounts.
@manton Just reinstalled and tested. Selected my status blog and it went to my main. It fully recognizes what’s there, just doesn’t post correctly.

My brain is tired after today. I had to be my own receiving manager on top of my own duties today. So, I’m taking in some Game of Thrones trivia in a craft beer bar tonight. Maybe tacos or a burger too. I’ll follow up on some responses in the morning.
I really do feel like I save a ton of battery life when I delete Meta apps off my device. It makes me wonder just how much they’re doing in the background.
@pratik I think this works both ways. I follow a couple Japanese blogs here and one in Italian, and I have to translate everything. If they did the same to me, I wouldn’t be offended.
Only Fox advertises its own cable news channel of all the local stations. This makes commercial breaks during sporting events very annoying.

I’ve been playing around with a Light Phone-esque setup on my phone. One part of it is locking out certain apps. By doing so, you have to do a short breathing exercise to unlock the app first. It makes you think over being impulsive.
Spain’s defense won this game for them. That goal line stand on the England corner was incredible. The winning goal was beautiful from a bystander’s perspective. ⚽️ 🇪🇸 🏴

@lukemperez This makes sense. I know here in the States, a bigger turnout typically means a push to the left. There’s a sense that could happen this year, if even on the local level.
@JohnPhilpin Not the place I expect to trend in the right direction. But, I’ll take it. Side note: I was just in the Kansas side of Kansas City and it feels like I place I could live in. This kind of thing helps.

@jw I did this once in Omaha when I sat on the third base side. Every seat I’ve bought since has been on the first base side, which is always in the shade come 7PM.
@patrickrhone They pulled this same crap in 2016 with Hillary’s emails and look where that got us. The DNC and national media don’t study history well.
@kaa I wouldn’t know what to do as an official. I think they’ve let it ride so long, they’d have to announce they’re tightening things up. But, even then it’s a heck of a balancing act to keep games from ending with multiple players sent off on each side.

@pratik Yeah, I’m about reading to copy the source images from my Letterboxd imports so that I’m hosting on my end. I actually love the way they cross post over, but, I’m not a fan of the idea of broken image links if the site goes down. I’m going to do the same with my Glass imports as well.
