The more I play with the new Reeder, the more I feel like it’s best for slow moving feeds, like personal blogs, YouTube feeds I want to monitor more closely, and comic strips. Things that update a few times a day max.

I want a monitor stand with shelves similar to what Grovemade sells that doesn’t push $300. Frankly, I wish I could make my own. But, I don’t have the tools or the patience for something like this.

ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro, speaking to reporters Wednesday at the Disney sports giant’s headquarters here, said that the company has suggested to sports leagues and leaders that it could help distribute games to specific markets through its streaming properties – including a new full-ESPN streaming product that it expects to launch at around this time in 2025.

@pratik That amazes me about Texas, especially with Houston in the mix. You look at the Pacific coast states, basically one or two metro areas dominate the politics. I’ll be shocked the day Washington State has a Republican governor.

Even here, the majority of the population lives in or around Omaha or Lincoln. There’s a couple threats to red seats here with Don Bacon and Deb Fischer getting some heat. Nebraska is one of two states (Maine being the other) who don’t do winner take all in the electoral college, and there’s a strong chance at a couple of those votes going blue here in November. Unfortunately there’s powers that be who still have control of their situations, like those at UNL. But, there’s signs some folks are getting a little sick of GOP politics here in places where they’ve always aligned.

@aa I recently canceled Trade because I ended up with a backlog of coffee. I don’t really feel like I have the room to roast my own, since I’m in an apartment. But, I’ve decided to support local going forward, for the most part. Even if I buy a $16 bag of beans, I still get far more value out of that than if I had someone else make a cup for me.
