@pratik Why do you even ask such silly questions? There is no need to extend this kind of conversation. Doesn't lead to anything useful.

@SRDas Is that steamed and then deep-fried? I've never had it. Looks delicious; have to try this.

OMG! The orange blob does not know the difference between mental asylum and refugees seeking asylum at the border. No wonder he always keeps talking about refugees and Hannibal Lecter. Just read this somewhere and it makes so much sense!

@stupendousman What streaming service is this on? I can search but you probably know it right away. Thanks!
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman Actually, a lot of people do that. They go and ride the route before or after the TdF. Don't know if I'll ever get to do that but, I am definitely planning to go there within next couple of years and cheer the riders go by on multiple stages.

@Parag Today’s time trial did not affect the positions of top 3. It was kinda expected. There was a competition for the 10th overall ranking. Buitrago who started at 11th place today clocked a better time than Ciccone at 10th place and stole that position. American cyclist Matteo Jorgensen got the 4th best time today even after a fall on the course. He has done very well this season. Hope he keeps improving in the coming years.

Tour de France stage 21: Congratulations on the sixth stage victory and overall win for Pogacar. What an utterly dominating performance by him! It’s his third TdF win in 5 yrs. The oldest person on the podium was Jonas at 27. We are going to see these 3 guys in cycling competitions for a long time.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 20: so unbelievable that Pogacar won his fifth stage of this tour and 16th so far. At this rate he’ll definitely break Cavendish’s record of 35 stage wins. Glad to see Carapaz and Girmay securing polka dot and green jersies. Time trial tomorrow will not affect GC I hope.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 19: Tadej Pogacar just dominateted the race today and showed everyone who is the best and the strongest rider in the world. He attacked on the last climb of a hard stage and left everyone in the dust. Two more stages but he has an unassailable lead and he has pretty much won it.
Parag
@Parag
OMG! I just noticed that there is a “like” button for email messages in Outlook. There is an option to choose different emojis. How stupid is that?!?!?
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 18: First stage win for Victor Campenaerts on this hilly stage. He said in the interview that he was eyeing this stage since last December. So glad it worked out for him. He is a hardworking team player and I like his style of riding. Can’t believe that only 3 more days left!
Parag
@Parag
Oui oui oui!!!
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 17: Finally a fantastic stage win for Richard Carapaz. He joins the selected group of riders that have stage wins in all three grand tours. There was some action in the leaders group but no change in rankings. Three more tough days in the Alps before the time trial on last day.

@pratik I don't have much first-hand experience in interacting with many people in these fields so, not sure. But, I'd imagine one needs skill and competence to excel in these fields as well so they are probably similar to STEM.
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman @pratik Come on, man! It is OK to leave out all the fun we had while doing all the hard work. :)
Parag
@Parag
@pratik Interestingly, the white supremacists in RNC are not happy with Vance and his immigrant brown wife. They don't think that the dough boy will work well with their agenda. Also, the moderate wing is unhappy with his stand on promoting misogyny and banning abortions. Only musk and putin are happy with this choice of VP.
Parag
@Parag
@odd This works very well for mosquitos. It has been super popular in India for that purpose over the last decade or so.
Parag
@Parag
@pratik @stupendousman All the Ivy league schools have an impeccable record in producing excellent STEM grads as it is mostly based on skill and competence. With law and business schools it is always 50:50; whoever that can bullshit better rises to the top. There are plenty of those hucksters who are liberal and conservative.
These shitty conservative immigrant kids like Usha and Vivek are probably just trying hard to fit in with the white crowds. They are also being ungrateful to their parents who came to this country with 2 suitcases of stuff and $20 in their pockets and gave their all to raise these kids.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 16: Third stage win for Jasper Philipsen on the last flat day of the tour. Girmay crashed with 2 kms to go but still holds a slim lead in points classification. Green jersey will be contested on intermediate sprints over the next 4 days. Tour moves on to the Alps to finish!
Parag
@Parag
@curiousgawker Excellent idea! makes me feel good!!!
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman Each stage is different in terms of terrain they cover and is kind of a separate race as the winner of each stage is recognized. But, there is also a cumulative time that is being tallied for deciding the overall winner after 21 stages.
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman One more week to go - six more stages. World cup Football, World Cup Cricket etc go on for weeks, don't they? Think of TdF as World Cup Cycling that happens every year. :)
Parag
@Parag
It feels like I am getting a whiplash from constantly switching from “Oh yeah everything is OK” to “Oh no we are fucked” and back on various work and life issues, several times a day. Don’t know how long this can be sustained.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 15: Another dominating win for Pogacar on a hard mountain stage in the Pyrenees. Jonas lost a minute to Tadej but gained a minute over Remco. Unless something crazy happens, it seems like the podium is already set for this tour. There will be competition for a top 10 finish.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 14: Tadej Pogacar again showed that he is the best and strongest rider winning today’s tough stage. Jonas and Remco switched their positions behind Tadej. Several riders dropped out due to COVID. Tomorrow is another hard stage (4800m climb) in the Pyrenees before the rest day.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 13: Jasper Philipsen won his second sprint stage on a flat route today finishing in Pau. I think only one flat stage and chance for sprint left in this tour. Roglic abandoned the race today. He is just unlucky in TdF as he has won other big races like tours of Italy and Spain.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 12: Another flat stage with a couple of small bumps along the way. Girmay snatched his third stage win in a bunch sprint. Roglic crashed and lost some time on his GC rivals; dropping him to 6th place from 4th. No other changes in the GC standings. One more flat stage tomorrow.
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman Why wait till 10 days before election. Tonight is a fine night for anything to happen.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 11: A long (210 kms) and hard (4100m climbing) stage that tested the top 4 riders of this tour. During the 4 climbs in last 50 kms, Tadej and Jonas went head-to-head in a thrilling battle with Jonas winning the stage. Remco and Primoz couldn’t keep up and lost time.
Parag
@Parag
@stupendousman That is cool! I used to have notebooks full of doodles from meetings but for some unknown reason I stopped doing it.

@Parag
Tour de France stage 10: After the rest day, today’s stage was pancake flat. After many unsuccessful attempts last week, Jasper Philipsen finally won a sprint that was perfectly executed by his team. Good to see the winner of green jersey from last year grab a stage win. No change in GC rankings.

Tour de France stage 7: on the first of two time trials, World Champion time trial it’s Remco Evenepoel handily beat everyone else and solidified his 2nd place in general classification. Two more stages before the first rest day on Monday.
Parag
@Parag
Tour de France stage 6: Another flat day without much action except the sprint at the finish line where Dylan Groenewegen beat out all the other sprinters to win the stage.
