★★★★☆ Superman and Lois Season 3
Season 3 had its issues but the ending made up for it. I know the show will be very different next season, presumably its last, but I have hope they’ll do the right things with it and make it memorable.
Impromptu ice cream with my son in the waning days of Summer is a memory I hope I don’t lose when I get old. I wish I could mark some as “high priority” so even if my body decides to lose some, it keeps ones like this.

I haven’t started and finished a book in a single day in a very long time. A memorable read, fast paced, and eye opening, even if it’s a fiction story. Everett is a master and I’m seriously disappointed in myself that I’m just now learning about him.

Fast read, considering its length. Nice characters, poor plot.
I haven’t had much time to do anything, let alone post, but I do feel proud of myself for hitting my piano/keys practice hard three days in a row. My goal is to be able to sub in for the worship team within six months.
I don’t know why this makes me a little sad. I guess it’s just rare to see something so old collapse in your lifetime. It makes me feel complicit in some way.

Had a little adventure with my son. We took the train all the way out to Dulles to admire the architecture and do a little plane spotting. Then we trained over to Tysons for some pizza and hanging out. Love these little trips
@Davidnsteer Quite true. I’ve adopted a “good enough” model for most things to save time, energy, and money. So that may influence some of my choices.
@Davidnsteer They don’t need to be best in class. The vast majority of Apple users use the default apps because they are very good and work reliably for most people. I have yet to find a compelling reason to make Chrome or Firefox my default browser. Notes has almost every feature the average person needs. And as the Office apps and Google Apps are getting worse, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote continue to improve.
I’m annoyed that most fonts haven’t implemented the half-star glyphs.

★★★★☆ The Midnight Library (2020) by Matt Haig 📚
Amazing book. Almost 5-star territory. If I did 1/2 stars it would be 4.5. So many great lines of inspiration from this one.
Policies aside, the Dems have put together a ticket of decency. Harris and Walz seem like sincerely happy, real people. The other ticket is full of cringe, anger, two people I wouldn’t want to have lunch with, let alone vote for. Again, policies aside, just looking at it from a personal perspective.
★★★★☆ The Body in the Library by Agatha Christie (1942) 📚
It seems like this one had a bit more humor than I expected. It’s also interesting that this crime would have been impossible in 2024.

I had a wonderful time leading worship at three Masses this weekend. Our team is full of young people who are excited to share their gifts with the community! I feel so blessed to be a part of it, even if I am considered “ministry dad” by the young people.
I’m married 22 happy years today! Time has flown by but it has been a wonderful run so far.

I have fond memories of watching this as a kid, but I don’t think it’s aged particularly well.
@electrafish It’s a low-key movie, with a bit of humor and nostalgia, nothing else. Worth a watch on a lazy day if you’ve got nothing else to do.
@bapsi They’re making improvements but I won’t switch until it supports highlighting and syncing highlights to Notes. Readwise Reader is fantastic in this regard.
