@pratik yeah, the only thing I thought made sense, and only in the hands of a super small organization like Micro.blog, is being able to determine what to work on flexibly and shift as-needed. The rest sounds Very Bad, and the bigger the team, the more planning you need.

@briandigital It's not currently accessible. @manton can speak to this better than I can't but I think a sort of reverse-curator who is specifically looking for community code of conduct violations and could hide them from an everything-timeline might be able to meet this need.

@numericcitizen It's mostly about reading literally Every. Single. Post. and deciding whether to feature it. It's not time-consuming (it can be done in 30 minutes to an hour each day) but because you are seeing everything everyone has to say, it is not without an emotional impact. I think when I can spare more time for M.b, working with Manton to figure out how to make a team-based approach work will be a priority.

@pratik I'm really hoping to come back to curating Discover, but just don't have the bandwidth now due to not just the new job but also health stuff with myself and my family. I think community work beyond Discover will be beyond my capacity. My hope when I come back is to update at least daily or every other day on weekdays.

@DaveyCraney It was the wild kids using the library as a place at recess that broke me. I ended up closing library recess at the actual time it closes instead of letting kids stick around a few minutes longer, because I was just worn down.

Today: a cascade of tough stuff. My hypothyroid symptoms are still mysterious, I forgot my work key, my work plans got waylaid, I cleaned up a nasty literal mess, my mom is in extra poor health, and children were extra wild. My resilience is low right now. But I have a good migraine treatment plan.

Sarah MacLean is just so good. This is likeโ€ฆ A 3.5 on the romance.io scale? The language is slightly (but only slightly) euphemistic; itโ€™s pretty clear exactly whatโ€™s happening where.

Apparently my mid-life crisis is mostly watching Derry Girls and thinking, โ€œYes! Thatโ€™s exactly what it felt like to be a teen girl in the mid-to-late 90sโ€ while wishing everyone understood that a combination of En Vogue and Enya is the perfect soundtrack. ๐Ÿ“บ๐ŸŽต

A very early Kleypas. Be warned: the hero is a Confederate veteran. Apparently, he opposed slavery but fought for the Confederacy anyway.

@pratik Thanks. I'm usually hypo but being in the middle of an autoimmune attack can make me hyper. I don't feel hyper but as low as my numbers sometimes are, maybe the numbers I have now are high for me but not high enough to give me hyper symptoms.

@odd "mid-21st-century"? I don't know, I'm crotchety and tired and want the world to accommodate my brain that thinks of 1981-Y2K as the only real time. I know this is an unreasonable desire.

I just feel like we need to be more specific than saying things like โ€œIn the 1900sโ€ or โ€œIn the mid-1900s.โ€ Could we not give a decade? If I see โ€œmid-1900sโ€ Iโ€™m all, โ€œ1905? 1906โ€ not โ€œ1966.โ€
