Day two of the PNW Pen Show was calmer, shorter, and over far too soon. 🖋️ The lesson of the weekend is how much I need to have a life outside of work that includes creativity and joy.
cleaning and sorting through some fountain pens this morning and realized I hadn’t inked this Platinum 3776 Century in a while. one of the first Japanese fountain pens I bought back in the day, and my first gold nib! 🖋️
First day of the PNW Pen Show was wonderful. 🖋️ It was such a bubble of shared joy (and my phone notifications are so curated) that I missed all of the day’s news until I arrived home.

Changed my red ink. This is certainly nice and simple. 🖋️
have a Bock fountain pen nib with architect grind that I rarely use. decided to experiment with moving the nib from Bock feed/housing into Jowo feed/housing so it’s easier to swap into other pens. don’t think I’ve got the nib and feed lined up quite right, but hey it writes! 🖋️

🖋️ impulse bought this Majohn C4 fountain pen. been really into eyedropper pens recently. this one turns out to have a very firm steel nib, and an amusingly vestigial clip on the cap
Was looking for a good ink drawing to recreate as pixel art, and found my own ink drawing from 2011. I believe I have improved somewhat since that time. There’s also a process video. 200 x 200 pixels. According to Apple Screen Time it took me 2h34m to draw.
