The Tiger Flowers are in full bloom now, it's a shame they only last 24 hours but they're beautiful 🌱
harvested a half a tray of new russet potatoes 🌱 and one confused newt. not using pesticides means that my potato vines get eaten by bugs, but i gotta think that the animals in my garden are eating those bugs too, since they're full of potatoes
Something that shouldn’t grow in Illinois, but actually does very well: alpine cyclamen (C. purpurascens). Admittedly I keep it in well-drained soil near the foundation, where it self-seeds. 🌱
A few months ago I asked my husband if I could put a plant in his office. He said “I would be at best neutral towards a plant” but I put three little guys on his windowsill anyway and they’re growing great, and today he told me he actually really likes them. Just coming here to say TOLD YOU SO 😂🌱
