At the risk of being politically incorrect, I prefer the Gothic arch over the Roman arch. Not that there is anything wrong with the Roman arch.
The McDonald’s arch is my least favorite.
I’m not sure Yahoo! Mail is even trying to filter spam anymore. Um, they could at least make a token effort. Gmail filters pretty good but won’t let you login until you clear cookies, provide bio-metric ID and show your official Sergey and Larry fan club card.
Someone is planning on putting a Taco Bell in my town. shrugs Frankly I’d rather have a Waffle House.

@manton It is a tough sell. All I use Alexa for is a daily news briefing at mealtimes. I really like that one feature, and part of why I like it is I picked the news sources well. I would never trust some news summary generated by AI.

@odd Places, and nomenclature in the US are all reckoned from the east coast. It's been decades, but when driving west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike the official highway signs all said, "Ohio and the West." Pennsylvania had a vague notion that Ohio existed west of them and everything else was dismissed as "the West." :) Typical.
@stupendousman I suspect she has been asked not to comment for now by the authorities. Also, everything she says, no matter how small or innocent, becomes a big deal, she may not want to stir the waters and somehow invite copycats or the attention of terrorists for upcoming concerts. It's a really bad situation to be in.
It’s true, I miss a lot of the old analog tech stuff, but I don’t miss 8-Track tapes. Just saying.

@kitt I fenced a bit in college as well and I was terrible at it. Actually, I got introduced to fencing in a high school drama class but that was for stage. In college it was an intro portion of a gym class, but my friends and I carried on practicing on our own. We'd all grown up watching too many swashbuckling movies. None of us were any good at it but it was fun.

@fgtech Harris is capable and qualified to be President. Should she have to fill that office I will sleep just fine feeling the Presidency is in good hands.
And yes everybody knew Biden was old. Why weren't the Democrat elites having this discussion a year ago? One bad debate and half the Dems want to cut and run. We're a little bit late in the process to be changing horses.
But, I don't expect anyone to listen to me. All I know is if Trump gets elected we are in deep sh*t.
