@lzbth Indeed yes. Glad you liked these. 😊 Saw them perform live couple of times between 1995 and 2000 and then somehow lost track of their music, but especially Souls and the whole IO album still leave goosebumps...😊

@lzbth They're not that noisy, for that matter. 😊 That's a very special style of music and a very special band I really loved back then, and I really love their 1990s period. The music is amazing but I've also been much into the lyrics back then, and I love them from that point of view too. (They're German and they used to be quite young back then so their English is a bit clumsy at times but nevertheless...) Some more examples, my favourites of what they did probably:

@lzbth What kind of music could you recommend by then? I'm pretty open-minded here too, with some preferences that are more "current" and a long backlog of old stuff, bands I always loved and never got away from, as well as those which I still love but adhere to a certain period of time. It's great to discover new music all the time, though. Indonesia however still is a white spot on my mental music map so far. Basically, all I know are these girls ( www.youtube.com/watch ) from over there but I'm unsure whether they're still active. Heard in some documentary on metal "worldwide" that countries like Indonesia have a tough stand when it comes to metal and related genres due to the political and religious establishment but honestly, I have no idea. So... whenever there's something you can recommend, feel welcome. 😊 As for the highway and the Care Bears... well... yes. I think love solving some of these issues and uneasy feelings might be, maybe is a valid approach... but I also feel that there are more and different layers to it. Like, that "draining of possibility".... it seems a different thing. Like, in some odd conversations before, I used to joke I'm by now too old to still fly to the moon or become a professional musician. Now, in the second half of my 40s, I for sure am. That's not necessarily bad, and maybe the problem itself is clinging to the past too much, or simply fear of missing out, and yet sometimes one wonders... 🙈 But... it seems your change of highways has been rather profound... hope it works out for you the way you hoped it would.🙂 Have a pleasant day, back to work here now!☕
@Sigrun Naja ... die Skepsis ist momentan da, aber auch, weil es irgendwie gerade noch ein theoretisches Konzept ist und Zeit für diese Art von Überlegungen bleibt. Akut hab ich keinen Handlungsdruck (und auch keine Möglichkeit, mein Arbeitsleben hängt an der Stadt, meine Familie, konkret Eltern, leben dort, wo sie leben, und eine Chance auf ein Wohnen und Leben in dieser Art bietet sich hier wie dort gerade nicht). Vielleicht ändert sich, wenn es muss... und ... ja, diese Idee, dass das letztlich die beste aller Alternativen ist... das kann ich mir doch irgendwie vorstellen.

@Sigrun Gut, wenn das Zusammenleben sich erst einmal so geordnet hat. Reibungen werden wohl nie ausbleiben, aber diese Grenze zwischen "offen" und "für sich selbst" lässt mich immer mit viel Skepsis auf solche Projekte schauen bei allem Enthusiasmus für diese Art des Zusammenlebens, die für mich persönlich sehr viele Probleme auf einmal lösen könnte...
Almost 10am again. A short moment of breath, to align written notes with the current mental model of today. Sometimes it's all about synchronizing states. There's more than enough sawdust created by flows and processes and blown out of the hours already.
I still just once in a while reboot this little sucker to see it start up, to experience the amazingness of its user interface and to shed a few tears on the utter inability of Palm and HP to really make something out of this.

@Sigrun Ich ... empfinde das auch als großen Balance-Akt. Einerseits gefällt mir die Idee gut, auf diese Weise in einer definierten Community Nähe und Zusammenleben zu organisieren, bis selbst hin zu gemeinsamem Kochen, gemeinsamen Mahlzeiten, ... . Aber andererseits brauch ich eben sicher auch klare Grenzen und Klarkommen mit mir und anderen in Situationen, in denen Nähe zu viel wird und es Abstands bedarf. Bin gespannt, wie sich das bei Euch entwickeln wird...🙂

@Sigrun Ja... genau das. Oder einen sinnvollen Weg dazwischen, der vermutlich aber nicht existiert. Mit größerem Haus wäre sowas wie ein Generationen- oder WG-Bauernhof ja eine schöne Idee, aber ... naja. Hoffentlich ist noch etwas Zeit bis dahin. 9pm. Somewhat surprised, there seem gaps in the afternoon through which some of the time just escaped. Maybe it's the holes of the mole that showed up under the peach tree. Considering likeliness and possibilities. Maybe, contrary to public belief, hours indeed move slower if filled with too much input.
