A spot of Parkrun tourism at Hartlepool today. The course is an out and back along the esplanade at Seaton Carew, reminded me of the Aberdeen esplanade course. Struggled with the flat nature of the course, but my fastest Parkrun in over 2 years. #running #ukrunchat

Raced the Zwift World Series race today in D on the Richmond Loop Around course - which take on the Boston world hills 3 x CW, and 1 x CCW, with a 10km interlude on the Boston flats. #cycling #zwift

This evening's addition to the ride library on my website was the Santa Pola to El Altet ride by ridewithoutstomach on Rouvy. Read on for and overview of the route, along with the route profile, images and my ride data. #cycling

@me there is definitely a use case for a digital ink reader for Apple Books too. Whether Apple will go there is a different matter - suspect they think the iPad covers this.

Burnley travelled to the Stadium of Light on the back of two emphatic wins from two, but with optimism dampened by turnover in the squad. Read on for my overview of the game, and a few images from the stadium. #fediFC #burnleyFC #eflChampionship

Rounding off Sunday afternoon with a pleasant 1hr ride out on Neon Flats with Team TFC on Zwift. Am pretty sure that the ride I selected was on The Big Ring route in Southern Watopia, so guessing that got switched.

@ukplissken Egan-Riley got the BFSC man of the match on this coach. Really struggled to find anything good to recognise in that performance.

@ukplissken Don’t know if you were there today, but that was the most depressing performance I’ve watched in a while. I can only imagine there are more departures coming in the next week than we imagined. Difficult to explain the omissions otherwise.

Here at the Stadium of Light for our game with Sunderland. A very revolutionary line-up, with faces from our academy making the bench. #burnleyFC #eflChampionship #clarets

Vickie added a pair of Adidas Originals 350s to my claret and blue wardrobe today. I love them, though I doubt I can wear them in the rain. #clarets #burnleyFC

Burnley took on Cardiff City today in a 3pm kick off at Turf Moor, coming out comprehensively on top in a scrappy game. Read on for my thoughts and images from the match.

It’s the first home game of the season here at Turf Moor as we take on Cardiff City. First game since the departures of Odobert and Twine, and the omission of James Trafford from the team is the main surprise - presumably on his way out.

Burnley will play away at Wolves in the Second Round of the northern split of the Carabao Cup draw. I'm quite pleased given that I did not make it to the Molyneux last season, so it gives me another chance to take a few photographs for my website.

Heading down to Luton for the first game of the season. Leo suspects there are pies in the bag, but Caoimhe knows.

Taking an enforced break from training, a nasty dose of infected bursitis causing a short trip to the super urgent care team at Burnley hospital on Wednesday. Absolutely no idea what caused it, but at least a week hiatus.... 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️🧗‍♂️

Watching Mission to Burnley 2 last night, and spotted Keighley Pete making his way into Kenilworth Rd. I couldn't get a ticket for Luton away last season, but I'm really excited about the trip South on Monday afternoon. Less so about getting home in the early hours. Who else will I spot in Mission to Burnley 2?

@mauricerenck Excellent work! I’m excited about implementing this upgrade.

@Lee6 I was really happy with the first hour…. The last bit would have been better with something to drink! ☀️

@Beclfc Cadiz v Burnley on Clarets+ at 17:00…. The Olympic occupation of our TV will be ended, temporarily at least…

Headed out to Colne on Leeds-Liverpool Canal for my Sunday long run, returning via Nelson and Brierfield.

Can definitely feel my stride starting to lengthen out. 4 minutes faster than a month ago, on a warmer day, after a parkrun and long ride yesterday. Also under 1h for 10km for the first time this year.

Long slow ride this afternoon on Graham Love (deperlo)'s Lake Pukaki route on Rouvy. Longest ride for quite some time, and having Parkrunned earlier in the day.

Back out on the Burnley Parkrun course to check on progress this morning.

Movement felt really good, and endurance held up despite the heat - I can definitely tell that I am trying to run a calorie deficit. 11 seconds faster - but lost at least another 30s in the first km, starting in the wrong place in the pack.

Tough hour this evening just about managing to hold onto the back of the Zwift NL group ride on the Lutece Express course on the Paris map. I was way too hot during the ride, and I've really struggled to sleep well this week. Combined with trying to maintain a calorie deficit made for a rough afternoon at the office.

@30yrdscreamer Almost all machine weights - I find the free weight zone a bit scary! 🏋️‍♂️

@30yrdscreamer I used to be able do around 20t on a leg workout… small steps :)

@ukplissken sounds like you are in a great hotel...

@anniegreens I used to notice that this would also cause any media uploaded to be attached to the second blog media library also. Weird.

@kev We get 8p/kwh overnight, maybe double that during the day, and from Podpoint outside work 44p/kwh - cannot quite make it there and back on a single charge. It’s not an EV specific tariff though, so everything that uses any real power goes on at midnight.

@kev We have an overnight charge tariff at home. A full charge of my leaf overnight at home costs ~ £4 as opposed to > £20 on public chargers.

Yay.... I've made some tweaks to the code for workout posts on my website. Hopefully the cover images should feed through on this content type now.

@30yrdscreamer That was definitely the plan… though I’m sceptical that is possible given the tumbleweed flying past.

@30yrdscreamer It looks 50/50 on the uptheclarets forums. I’m not sure the whole brand of football thing is right, it’s been pretty insipid at times.

This team was good enough to stay up, it went down because of VKs inability to settle on his best team quickly, and to tactically shape and change games to arrive at better outcomes.

If he has anything about him, he stays to put that right. Guess we’ll see.

@winkley Thanks for that, that makes sense - very little on Bank Hall FC around on t’interweb.

@30yrdscreamer Thankfully we do, it’s freezing in here now!

@30yrdscreamer You too! Looks like a great day for baking on a coach either way :)

@historyofpunkrock I listened to No Control a lot at Uni, so probably that. It was almost a decade old then.

@Franfrog I hope you remembered his dryrobe?

@30yrdscreamer Hopefully the radio was less painful!
