Now listening to: Blackbraid with the album Blackbraid II from 2023. Blackbraid is a Native American black metal project from Adirondack Mountains in New York state. Pretty melodic and brutal, with a lot of focus on nature in the lyrics, good stuff! You can hear hints of Enslaved in the mix.

@lile.bsky.social Nice! Have you finished it? Yeah a solid game, the social interactions and plots gets more interesting the more you play, really cool work by a small team!

Great piece by Mike Grindle on “Edgelands”, the overgrown and not cared for areas often found between the city and suburbia, the nothingness between highways and so on. The outskirts of Oslo has edgelands for sure, it’s everywhere really. Walks Through The Edgelands

Has anyone here played the indie game The Forgotten City? I just spent a few hours in it. Tons of vibes and beautiful scenery. Really cool to get some horror-light mixed in with the Roman world and mythology. Curious about where this game will go from here. So far I’m just talking to people. #gaming

“Desire is how the self projects itself into, and remakes, the world; aesthetic feeling is how the world projects itself into, and remakes, the self.” Steven Shaviro - Without Criteria - Kant, Whitehead and Deleuze p. 24

Currently reading: Without Criteria by Steven Shaviro 📚 I’ve had this book on my Kindle for ages but I’m finally getting into it and it is sooo good. Thought provoking and clear on the intersection between Kant, Deleuze and Whitehead on aesthetic experience.

Finally found a light/dark theme switcher for KDE Plasma that resembles the Night theme switcher for Gnome: Koi! I compiled it through Cmake but it wasn’t difficult and it works like a charm. Only option I’m missing is a keyboard shortcut to switch between light and dark mode. #kde #kdeplasma #linux

@frank Hi Frank, came over this post while searching for a solution to the same challenge: posting to Micro.blog with Emacs. I'm trying to do as much as possible in Emacs/Org-mode these days, it might replace Obsidian for me, but it's so much to take in and learn. Did you find a solution to the org-to-md + remove frontmatter problem? I can always just do a regular org to md conversion in Emacs and then yank and paste the post on Micro.blog but I was hoping to find a smoother solution. I have searched for packages but have found none. We need a package like the Micro.publish-plugin for Obsidian :)

@natureworks Yeah I feel Koala hit the right balance between features and easy of use and also a general good design for a mobile OS. I've made som really cool stuff on it and it's a lot of fun. When it comes to hardware I am an Elektron-dude mainly, I have promised myself not to buy another Elektron-box/instrument before I actually finish more music. 😀

@KimberlyHirsh Yeah definitely, and especially in continental philosophy that’s still base itself on commentary on the classics in giant tomes, analytic philosophy is more like “here is my paper on X, everything you need to understand or critique it should be within these 10-20 pages”
